Fire Quartz ( a.k.a Red Hematoid Quartz) is a variety of Quartz known for its rich reds and yellows it gets from iron heavy conditions and red hematite inclusions during the growth of the crystal. Varying shades from a dull yellow-orange to a dark and cracked brown appearance can be attributed to being exposed to intense heat at some point during its formation. 

Known metaphysically for amplifying energies, Fire Quartz is often included in collections and jewelry to promote balance, vitality, strength and courage.

Like all crystals in the Quartz family, it has a Mohs hardness of 7 making it a relatively durable and easy to care for stone for collectors.
